Hello friends!!! I hope you are having a great weekend so far! I've been wanting to share updates periodically for a while and I am glad to finally do so in this post. Although I enjoy the artistic side of blogging, being an introvert, I've always found it difficult sharing more of my personal life. It is something that I have been thinking about it lately and I have decided to hopefully add more to the blog by reaching out to readers through open communication and by sharing more of myself. So here goes the first one.
- Life: Grace turned 3 this past Tuesday and I have had so many feelings all this week. Mostly feelings of joy to see her grow but bittersweet as well. I can hardly believe my baby will start preschool in the fall. I will share some pics of her birthday celebration on my next post.
- Reading: One of the things I miss the most of my younger years is finding time to read new books. Now that Grace is getting older I am making reading a priority for myself as I hope it would install in her a love of books just as my family did for me when I was a young child. Currently I am reading "All the light we cannot see"bu Anthony Doerr.
- Listening: I typically listen to my local NPR station when I drive but I have decided to take a break for a little while. Instead, I am listening to amazon music and I am currently obsessed with The Corrs. As a matter of fact I am listening to The Corrs Unplugged (recorded in 1999, yet so many great songs) as I am working on this post.
- Wearing: Let's face it. I spend the majority of my working days in scrubs and evenings in athleisure, but weekends and date nights have mostly been denim& a cute top.
- Fitness: My goal is to exercise a minimum of three times a week. My husband and I were planing on alternating workout days after work but so far it has not happened. I do love hot yoga but now that we are heading into warmer months I would much rather go for a run on the beach. Also, I have been eyeing a rowing machine for months and I just might have to take the plunge. Will keep you updated.
- Watching: Since I finished The Crown, I have not watched any new shows worth recommending. I did however, watch a great documentary on HBO last week-Arthur Miller: Writer. Filmmaker Rebecca Miller presents a portrait of her father. I thought it was very moving and honest. I highly recommended it.
Ok friends, these were my updates for the month of April. If you have any input or recommendations you would like to share I would love to hear from you!
X,
Blerina
